Make gift boxes from old Christmas cards
These little boxes are a delight. They’re really easy to make and don’t even need any sticking or taping. Even better, these fabulous present container are kind on your purse and you can make them from last year’s Christmas cards. You can make them as big or as small as you like and they will dress up any gift.
You will need
- A used Christmas card or a sheet of card
- Template of box (you can download the template at the foot of this article)
- Scissors or craft knife
- Pencil
- Cutting board
Step 1

Download template and cut out.
Place the template on the card and mark outline on back of card
Draw around shape and cut out
Step 2

Place the card picture side up on the cutting board.
Score along the lines – this will give you a nice neat/sharp line when you come to fold the box into shape
Be very careful when you are scoring – don’t press too hard as you are only intending to give a slight indented line and not a complete cut through the card
Step 3

Using scored lines as a guide, gently fold into box shape.
Step 4

Fold each corner underneath the adjacent corner.
Step 6

Your box is now ready.
You can add some more decoration, such as glitter, if you wish.
