Squirrels and moles may look cute but don’t let that fool you, they can wreak havoc in your garden.
How to keep the squirrels from eating your bird feed
If the birds aren’t getting a look-in in your garden thanks to greedy squirrels, try this old trick. Just shake some chili powder onto the birdseed and that should keep the squirrels at bay.
Don’t worry it does no harm to the birds and they actually like the taste of it.On the other hand the squirrels loathe it. One taste and they should leave the seed alone in future.
How to sort mole problems
Having problems with moles digging holes in your garden and don’t want to have to poison or gas them? Then plant Sork bulbs.

molehills
Sork is a member of the onion (Allium) family and it repels moles. Simply plant the bulbs in a semi circle (not a full circle or the moles will be trapped inside), radiating away from your house. Plant the next row after a week and then another every 4 days, until the area is filled. The bulbs themselves produce only a small amount of foliage and very occasionally a small yellow flower so they can be planted anywhere, even in lawns.
