(1) These terms and conditions govern the use of the site and any services produced or delivered by Make it and Mend it Ltd
(a) This includes participation in our forums, the posting of comments, the contribution of articles and article ideas.
(b) Participation of any form, including the posting of comments to articles and whether or not the participant / contributor is registered on the site or logged on to the site constitutes agreement with these terms and conditions.
(2) We may modify these terms and conditions at any time
(a) Continued use of and participation in the site constitutes acceptance of any changes or revisions to the agreement.
(b) We may terminate your access if you fail to follow the terms and conditions.
(3) Terms of use
(a) You can display on a computer screen, download and store information from Make it and Mend it for your personal use.
(b) You may not in any way make commercial or other unauthorised use, by publication, re-transmission, distribution, performance, caching or otherwise, of material.
(c) You agree not to use any obscene, indecent or offensive language, or place on the website any material that is false, defamatory, abusive, harassing or hateful.
(d) You may not place on the website any material that is encrypted, constitutes junk mail or unauthorised advertising, invades anyone’s privacy, encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offence or give rise to civil liability, or that otherwise violates any local, state, national or international law or regulation.
(e) The publication of material on Make it and Mend it does not constitute endorsement or approval by Make it and Mend it and its agents.
(4) Using our forums, posting comments and submitting articles
(a) Make it and Mend it does not currently actively support its forums. Instead members are encouraged to comment on individual articles using the comment boxes provided.
(b) You have to be logged in as a Make it and Mend it member to post a comment.
As well as being bound by (3) Terms of use:
(c) You warrant that material you submit is not obscene, offensive, harassing, defamatory or otherwise illegal.
(d) Do not post content which you have copied from someone else or where you do not own the copyright.
(e) Do not post or otherwise contribute an article or content which is replicated on your own site or blog, or which you have contributed in the same form to another site or blog.
(f) Do not advertise or solicit.
(g) Do not impersonate someone else.
(h) Make it and Mend it operates a ‘notice and take-down’ policy which means if we are made aware of a post that contravenes the rules above, any law or regulatory guideline, we will remove all or part of the post.
(i) You are responsible for the content of your posts and comments. We do not accept any liability for the content or accuracy of your messages.
(j) We reserve the right to republish material submitted to us.
(k) We reserve the right to make additions, deletions or edit material.
(l) You acknowledge that any breach of these warranties may cause Make it and Mend it and Make it and Mend it Ltd, its parties and representatives damage or loss and agree to indemnify and hold harmless in full and in perpetuity against any third party liabilities, claims, costs, loss or damage incurred by us as a result of publishing any material you submit to us, including consequential loss.

(a) Further, due to the inherent nature of the internet, errors interruptions and delays may occur in the service at any time.
(b) Accordingly, the Make it and Mend it website is provided “as is” without any warranties of any kind and we do not accept any liability arising from any inaccuracy or omission in the information or interruption in availability.
(c) We’re not responsible for and shall have no liability to you with respect to any information or materials posted by others, including defamatory, offensive or illicit material.
(6) Links to other sites from Make it and Mend it does not constitute an endorsement. You use such links at your own risk
(a) Make it and Mend it website pages may contain some contextual affiliate marketing links created by Skimlinks, Affiliate Window and others that work on behalf of 3rd party online retailers. There are also links to the Make it and Mend it shop provided by RUCraft.
(b) Purchases made on these 3rd party sites and through the Make it and Mend it shop are the sole responsibility of that site. Purchases made through these links may result in a commission being earned by us.
(c) From time to time we publish articles that are sponsored by third parties and by our partners and which contain links to third party sites, products and services.
(7) We may join up with selected third party partners to enable you to purchase products and services
(a) Transactions carried out with specified third party partners will be governed by the third party’s standard terms and conditions which may be found on their sites before you transact.
(b) From time to time we may team up with other selected third parties to offer you the opportunity to purchase goods from the site. Such purchases will be with the named third party (and not with us) and will be governed by the terms and conditions notified to you at the time of purchase.
(c) We cannot and do not accept any responsibility or liability for any losses you may suffer as a result of entering into any transaction with any third party.
(8) ebooks, guides, PDFs and other material available from and / or downloaded from our site or delivered by email, either directly or indirectly
(a) While the advice and information in ebooks, guides, PDFs and other material are believed to be accurate and true at the time of going to press, neither the author nor publishers can guarantee results nor accept any responsibility or liability for any damage resulting from any method and/or instruction and / or advice.
(9) Competitions, quizzes, games and prizes
The terms and conditions may be subject to additional terms that will be made available at the time.
(a) These are open to Make it and Mend it members who are UK residents aged 18 and over.
(b) Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
(c) Make it and Mend it and their agents reserve the right to substitute the prize for another prize of equal value.
(d) By entering the prize draw, the entrant agrees to be bound by the rules and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material accompanying the promotion.
(e) By entering, the winner(s) consent to any publicity generated as a result of the promotion, and use on websites, magazines or mobile services at any time.
(f) By entering, all participants agree to have their names and email addresses added to email update and email newsletter database. They can unsubscribe at any time. Unsubscribe details are included in every email communication.
(g) Prize draws are open to all residents of the UK, except employees of Make it and Mend it, its agents, the promoter and their immediate families, the promoter’s advertising agency and sales promotion consultancy, and anyone else connected with the creation and administration of the promotion. Competition winners are selected at random unless a test of skill is involved. Tests of skill are judged by a Make it and Mend it panel.
(h) Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
(i) Only one entry per person. Spammers will be disqualified.
(j) We do not accept responsibility for loss through technical fault, incomplete, illegible or other damaged entries. Proof of entry is not automatically proof of receipt.
(k) Names of the winner(s) can be obtained by sending a SAE marked Competition Winners and giving the title of the competition to Make it and Mend it Ltd, 12 Robertson Road, Brighton BN1 5NL within 14 days of the closing date of the promotion. We also post winners on site.
(l) Where Make it and Mend it runs a competition with a promoter such that the promoter is responsible for the selection and/or the provision of prizes then Make it and Mend it shall not be responsible for or have any liability for the provision of such prizes.
(10) English law will apply to the contract between us and the English courts will have jurisdiction in the case of any dispute
(a) Any dispute that cannot be settled through negotiations shall be subjected to arbitration conducted in London.
